# Terraformer Error exec- "terraform"- executable file not found in $PATH

### Issue <a href="#issue" id="issue"></a>

When running Terraformer stage, the following error appears `exec: “terraform”: executable file not found in $PATH`

### Cause <a href="#cause" id="cause"></a>

A version of terraform was not selected in the stage, or was left as `SYSTEM_DEFINED`
