# Get Started with Harness CI

A self-service onboarding guide for Harness CI.

Welcome to the Harness Continuous Integration (CI) onboarding guide. Discover how Harness accelerates software builds, enhances developer productivity, and streamlines CI processes with [intelligence features](/continuous-integration/use-harness-ci/use-harness-ci/harness-ci-intelligence.md), AI-driven insights, and hyper-optimized build infrastructure.

This guide will help you quickly get started with Harness CI, from setup to running your first build.

### Before you begin <a href="#prerequisites" id="prerequisites"></a>

Before you onboard CI, ensure you have the following:

* Access to a Harness account.
* Access to a source code repository such as [Harness Code Repository](/code-repository/2.0/new-to-harness-code/overview.md).
* Have reviewed [CI overview](/continuous-integration/new-to-harness-ci/overview.md) and [CI key concepts](/continuous-integration/new-to-harness-ci/key-concepts.md).
* Have reviewed the [Harness Platform onboarding guide](/harness-platform/new-to-harness-platform/get-started.md) and [Harness Platform key concepts](/harness-platform/new-to-harness-platform/overview.md).
* Have reviewed the [Harness CI migration guides](/continuous-integration/use-harness-ci/migrate-to-harness-ci.md) if you are migrating from another CI provider.

### Create your first Harness CI pipeline <a href="#create-your-first-harness-ci-pipeline" id="create-your-first-harness-ci-pipeline"></a>
