Search the console view
Search pipeline execution logs in the console view using the built-in search functionality and keyboard shortcuts.
After running a pipeline in Harness, you can view execution details that include logs and other outputs. The console view provides a built-in search feature to help you quickly find specific log entries, errors, or patterns in your execution logs.
What you will learn from this topic
How to search step logs in the console view.
How to use keyboard shortcuts to navigate search results efficiently.
How to configure log settings for log level and timestamp display preferences.
Before you begin
Harness account access: You need access to a Harness account with pipelines. For how to access or create a Harness account, see Getting started with Harness Platform.
Pipeline execution permissions: You need View permission on Pipelines to view execution details and search logs. To get this permission, an administrator must assign you a role that includes it. Go to RBAC in Harness to understand role-based access control and Manage roles to configure role assignments.
Completed pipeline execution: You need at least one completed pipeline execution to search its logs. Go to Get started with Harness to run your first pipeline.
Console search keyboard shortcuts
Use the following keyboard shortcuts to navigate search results efficiently:
CMD + F (macOS) or Ctrl + F (Windows/Linux)
Enable search
Up arrow
Move to the previous search result
