Request-only evaluation
The agent can now evaluate policies during the request phase alone and close the stream early, rather than processing the response as well. When response inspection is not required, latency decreases and throughput increases.
Dynamic metadata support for tracer properties
The agent can now configure tracer properties from dynamic metadata in your Istio Envoy filter definitions. Contextual attributes, environment information, and custom routing metadata are propagated into the telemetry stream without static configuration.
