API Reference

How the Harness docs and API reference live together in one space, and how to find the reference you need.

Harness docs and API reference now sit in the same place, under the one Harness Developer Hub space.

Two ways to read it

  • Alongside the docs. Each product has an API Reference variant next to its docs. If you are reading about workspaces in Infrastructure as Code Management, the API reference for workspaces is one click away in the version picker.

  • On its own. If you only want the API, open the All API References variant. It lists every reference we publish and lets you filter down to one product.

What you get by keeping them together

  • Direct links both ways. Guides link to the endpoints they use, and endpoints link back to the guide that explains them.

  • One search. Search covers docs and API reference together, so you do not need to know which site a page lives on.

  • Ask AI across both. Ask AI answers from the docs and the API reference at the same time, so a question like "how do I create a workspace, and what does the request look like" gets one answer.

  • Usage next to the spec. Concept pages and the endpoint reference open side by side, which is the combination people were missing on the old standalone site.

Choosing a reference

Use the variant picker at the top of the page. The default is All API References. Pick a single product to narrow the list to that product's endpoints.

All API References

Everything below in one place

IaCM API Reference

Infrastructure as Code Management

CCM API Reference

Cloud Cost Management

AR API Reference

Artifact Registry

STO API Reference

Security Testing Orchestration

Code API Reference

Code Repository

You don't have to start here. Each docs module also has its own API Reference variant, so if you're reading the Infrastructure as Code Management docs, the matching API reference is in that module's variant list.

Prototype notice

This is a sandbox prototype. The specs shown here are being checked by the owning engineering teams, so treat anything that looks wrong as a question for them rather than a final answer.
