# Upcoming Features

The following features and navigational changes are planned for an upcoming Traceable release. This page will be updated as new details become available.

### October 2026 updates <a href="#october-2026-updates" id="october-2026-updates"></a>

<details open>

<summary>API Exposure attribute terminology rename</summary>

Traceable is renaming the **Is External** attribute to **Internet-facing** across the platform. The new label provides a clearer indication of whether an API is accessible from the public internet and removes the ambiguity associated with the term *External*. The updated label will appear wherever this attribute is surfaced, including **Inventory**, **Dashboards**, **Filters**, and **Reports**. If you reference the **Is External** attribute in reports, documentation, or saved workflows, the label will appear as **Internet-facing** after this change.

> Note
>
> This is a label and terminology change only. The underlying detection logic, attribute values, and behavior remain unchanged. APIs identified as external today will remain so after the update.

### September 2026 updates <a href="#september-2026-updates" id="september-2026-updates"></a>

<details open>

<summary>Discovery sources navigation updates</summary>

**API Documentation** and **Repositories** have moved to **Discovery Settings**. **API Documentation** is a discovery source that is configured infrequently, while **Repositories** enable [code repository-based API discovery](/web-application-and-api-protection-waap/discovery/discovery-1/inventory/beta-api-discovery-from-code.md). Centralizing both under **Settings** brings discovery sources and their configuration into one place, providing a more consistent and streamlined Discovery experience. **API Documentation** is now available as a separate [Documentation page](/web-application-and-api-protection-waap/discovery/discovery-1/documentation-and-inspector.md), while **Repositories** are available on a dedicated [Repositories](/web-application-and-api-protection-waap/discovery/discovery-1/inventory/beta-api-discovery-from-code.md) page.
